Real-Time Transaction Monitoring<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Real-time\nmonitoring and analysis is the core concept in JENNIFER\u2019s design. Currently,\nJENNIFER is the only APM product that capture and tracks real-time transactions\nfrom their beginning to their end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cJENNIFER, the product, provides for the collection and visualization of real-time streams of application-related information.\u201d <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Real-Time\nactive service monitoring -one of JENNIFER\u2019s unique features- provides\ntransactions status in real-time, second by second. Using this features, it is\npossible to monitor information on transaction executing status, including\nwhich transactions are not yet processed, which users are suffering response\ndelay and which SQL query is currently being executed.

Additionally,\nsince JENNIFER is capable of monitoring transactions while they are still being\nexecuted by the application server, it provides another feature referred to as\nPeak Load Control (PLC), which allows controlling the traffic flows into the\napplication server by redirecting specific URLs according to the PLC threshold\nand configuration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Real-Time Event Alert<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Getting notification and alerts about incidents that took place in the system is a crucial part of any monitoring tool. JENNIFER is capable of catching abnormal transaction\u2019s behavior and events such as slow transactions, transactions with errors\/exceptions, slow SQL statements, etc. and issues alerts in real-time. It is also possible to use the build-in Event Rule engine to create user defined alerts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Real-Time Data Analysis<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

JENNIFER provides an X-View analysis function, with which the user can intuitively filter completed transactions that were either slow or have other problems that require analysis.  The X-View plots all of the transactions into a single chart, each dot in the X-View represents a single transaction and color-coded according to the transaction\u2019s response time.  If the user wants further details about a single or multiple transactions, they can do so by simply dragging the mouse around the desired transaction to open the transaction\u2019s details and profile information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

X-View\nis integrated with JENNIFER\u2019s Smart Profiling function that enables easy\nanalysis and configuration of profile data.
